Digital Media in the Commercial Sector
I’ve worked in the commercial sector for some years now. Priorities are often different from those in the funded arena (though perhaps increasingly less so). When you have investors breathing down your neck, understandably concerned about recouping their investment and demanding evidence of ROI, your focus has to be on spending every penny as effectively as possible.

What are YOU going to do as a result of Shift Happens 2010?
I always believe in striking while the iron is hot, so I'm writing this the morning after Shift Happens 2010, while the inspiration is still fresh in my mind.
It was another great event, as we all knew it would be. It seemed to me that the debate on technology, social media and the arts has moved on from where it was at Shift Happens 2009, there was much less dissent about the role it has to play, and, as more that one speaker said, it is no longer "what technology?", it is…
